About the event

What better way to spend an afternoon than in the company of friends and loved ones listening to live jazz? This week we have the talented Debby Bracknell Quintet, performing popular jazz standards from the American Song Book and beyond, including artists such as Ella Fitgerald, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and many others.

Debby Bracknell - Vocals
Debby is a highly experienced singer, session vocalist and songwriter. She has toured extensively singing live and recording for artists such as Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Boy George, Shakatak and has performed on many TV and radio shows for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky with the MDL Singers, including the renowned Eurovision song contest.

Dave Lambert - Drums
A versatile and in demand drummer/percussionist Dave travelled the world during his time as a military musician, studying at the prestigious Royal Military School of Music. He is now first call for a number of Big Bands, small Jazz ensembles and orchestras in the area, as well as varied music theatre commitments.

Howard King – Double Bass
Howard King is a regular player around Reading and Oxford, and runs a regular monthly jazz gig in Goring on Thames

David Kirby – piano
David has played the piano since the age of 6 discovering the jazz world at 16 - much to the chagrin of his ‘evil’ piano teacher. David went on to study piano and music at the Guildhall and London University/Goldsmiths. He spent many years playing round jazz venues in London and Hertfordshire playing with some top names before settling in Surrey. He now plays locally with trios, quartets, big bands and more jazz/funk focused ensembles.

Anatoliy Vyacheslavov – Saxophone
Tolly started studying the saxophone aged just 8 and went on to attend Kherson College of Music, Ukraine in 1986, graduating in 1990 with a Diploma as a Performing Artist and Saxophone Tutor. Between 1990 and 1992, he spent his national service in the Odessa Regional Military Orchestra. The next part of his career took him all around the world as part of the show band aboard the Hanseatic Cruise ship, playing big show tunes as far north as the Arctic Circle and right down to the Antarctic too! In 2001, he moved to the UK and in addition to performing live, became a session musician. His time on the road and in the studio saw him performing and recording with many artists including Cat Stevens, Suzi Quatro, Nick Heyward (Haircut 100) and the legendary Geno Washington. Since then he has been enjoying a busy schedule of performing, tutoring and recording his own material.
